This two-day symposium, organised by the University of Edinburgh, will explore new critical and interdisciplinary perspectives on Ian Hamilton Finlay.
As Finlay’s reputation worldwide continues to grow a decade after his death, this symposium will explore questions about the boundaries of his practice, its philosophical, political and cultural dimensions, and its legacies and affinities across a range of media, disciplines and geographical boundaries. A number of attendees will also visit Little Sparta for an event organised as part of Sharing Little Sparta. More information is available here.
